From Room 112 to Rated LGBT: A Conversation Close to My Heart

I recently had the honor of joining Rated LGBT Radio for an hour of thoughtful, lively conversation about music, identity, and the stories that shape us.

We spent time diving into Sonic Bloom — and especially into the deeply personal journey behind my single “You Know I Will Remember You (Room 112).” I shared how that song was born years ago when I played piano for AIDS patients in a small hospital room, and how one simple request — “Don’t ever forget us” — became a lifelong promise. That promise became a composition. That composition became a calling.

Speaking this story out loud still moves me. It reminds me that music is more than notes and charts — it is remembrance. It is healing. It is connection.

Hosted by Rob Watson, Rated LGBT Radio has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Best LGBTQ Podcasts of 2025, one of the Best LGBT Podcasts of 2019 by FMPlayer, and one of Feedspot’s “Top 20 LGBT Podcasts You Must Follow.” I’m so grateful to be part of that community conversation.

I would truly love for you to listen in.
